Tony Love focuses mostly on the culture and business of wine, with occasional dabbles into food and travel.

While his writing and journalism career has spanned many other subject areas in traditional and digital media, he established his wine-industry credentials during a 10-year stint as NewsCorp’s National Wine Writer across its major metropolitan and regional mastheads.

Based at The Adelaide Advertiser, he also worked there as features editor, graphics information editor, columnist, restaurant reviewer and eventually food&wine section editor and writer.

Tony was named Wine Communicators of Australia 2018 Legend of the Vine (SA).

Since then, he has freelanced, providing professional content for specialist domestic and international media, regional associations, corporate and family businesses, as well as event hosting and presenting.

He was a member of the Halliday Wine Companion reviewing team for the 2022 edition, and is presently the wine writer with the Solstice Media group under its masthead, also contributing to its sister magazine publication SALife.

In 2022 he was appointed Co-Patron with James Halliday of the South Australian Wine Ambassadors Club, an SA Government Department for Trade and Investment program to enhance awareness and appreciation of SA wines in the Asia-Pacific region.
